Privacy
Sign-in is used to save your category order. Actual ad scripts and external visitor analytics have not been connected.
Account preferences
Save & Apply stores your account identifier, category order and save time on the server. Your sign-in display name or email is used to show account status. Your saved order is loaded when you return using the same account.
Guest edits
Guest category changes are held in memory for the current page only. Choosing Sign In to Save temporarily stores your pending edits in this tab for up to 15 minutes, so you can review them after signing in.
Browser storage
Favorites, recent symbols, copy counts, last-copy times and symbol sort settings are stored in localStorage in this browser. Draft text is stored in sessionStorage in the current tab. These records do not sync with your account.
Language preference
A manual language choice is stored in this browser and in a first-party language cookie for up to one year. Automatic mode uses a country code supplied by the hosting network, with browser language as a fallback. SymbolBox does not store your IP address for language selection or send it to a separate geolocation service.
Clipboard
SymbolBox writes selected text to the clipboard. It does not read existing clipboard contents.
Development and operation
The local test account and database are separate from production accounts and storage. Operator contact details and any future advertising or analytics disclosures must be finalized before public operation.
Google sign-in and account security
The independently hosted Cloudflare version uses Google sign-in. The Google account identifier, name, email, profile image URL and account connection information are stored in the Cloudflare database. SymbolBox does not receive or store your Google password.
An HttpOnly sign-in cookie and a server session keep you signed in. Sessions are valid for seven days. Session IP addresses, browser information, expiry times and request limit records are processed for account security. Account connection tokens are encrypted in storage. Signing out revokes the current session.
